First National Bank recently announced a $15,000 contribution to the Sunrise County Economic Council towards the future MaineStreet Business Building.

Located at 19 Main St. in Machias, the MaineStreet Business Building will be a hub of vibrant networking, training, events and partnerships for entrepreneurs and small business owners throughout Washington County.

First National Bank’s contribution will be recognized with the naming opportunity of the Upper Riverview Patio. The 132 square feet of open outdoor space, located on the upper level will be used for outdoor meetings, fresh air lunch breaks, and a relaxing space to enjoy the beautiful view of Machias River.

“Thank you for stepping up to support Washington County Business in a big way,” said Sunrise County’s Entrepreneurship Program Director, Denise Cilley. “First National Bank’s contribution brings the Center considerably closer to fruition! We are excited to deepen our partnership with FNB’s local bankers as we continue developing programs that, in large part, raise awareness of our region’s top-notch network of business opportunities and resources.”
