Salary: $68,000 to $72,000 per annum based on experience and education

Job Location:  MaineStreet Business Building in Machias, Maine (travel across county as needed)

Sunrise County Economic Council (SCEC) seeks a Business Resilience Advisor to support job creation and prosperity in Washington County. This role is part of the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Team and focuses on assisting aspiring entrepreneurs, small business owners, and employers in the region. The Advisor will lead efforts to connect business owners within industry clusters and provide personalized one-on-one business advising. Key responsibilities include assessing client needs; assisting with business planning, financial projections and management, marketing, and operations; and developing customized action plans that also explore diversification and efficiency-building strategies. The Advisor will also help design and coordinate business training and networking events; maintain ongoing client relationships; and connect clients to resources, partners, and funding opportunities. The position is based at the MaineStreet Business Building in Machias and serves as SCEC’s primary contact for business planning and development in Washington County.
